Sunday, April 25, 2010 Collin Engelhardt and Yueer “Cindy” Feng captured their respective titles at the Florida Junior Tour’s (FJT) event at Juliette Falls in Dunnellon, April 24-25. Collin Engelhardt, of Orlando, came back from a one stroke deficit in the Boys Division, to win his first FJT event by one stroke. Engelhardt, carded a one-over par 73 in the first round, to trail the leaders by one stroke. In the final round Engelhardt continued his solid play by firing a two-over par 38 on the front nine, and an two-under par 34 on the back nine, which included birdies on #10,#14 and #15 to secure the title by one stroke. Owen Curry, of Longwood and Sawyer Shaw, of West Palm Beach, finished tied for second place with a tournament total of two-over par 146. In the Girls 16-18 Division, Yueer “Cindy” Feng, of Orlando, continued her exceptional play. Feng fired rounds of 71-71 for a tournament total of two-under par 142 and a six stroke victory. Feng has won in all five events she has competed in during the 2009-2010 season, and this is her 17th career FJT victory. Finishing second in the Girls Division was Heather Proctor, of Silver Springs, who carded rounds of 76-72 for a tournament total of four-over par 148. Grabbing third place honors was Brandi Rodriguez, from Winter Park, with a tournament total of 150. |
