 The FJT
STEP (Special Tournament
Exemption Program)
began in 2009 to allow junior golfers a way
to earn FJT exemptions through local and
regional junior golf programs operating in
Florida.
Similar to the
AJGA's Performance Based Entry (AJGA PBE),
FJT STEP enables
junior golfers to earn their way into FJT
tournaments based on performances at the
local and regional level.
FJT STEP was
designed to forge an easier pathway through
the various levels of junior golf (local,
regional, state, & national). FJT STEP will
also encourage players to compete in their
local and regional junior programs which
serve as the backbone of junior golf in
Florida.
