Blayne
Barber
(Boys 16-18) is from Lake
City and
will be attending the
University of Central
Florida.
During the 2007-2008 season, Blayne
competed in three FJT
events with two wins. He
also won the 54th Boys
Junior Championship. Out of
10
rounds Blayne shot 5 scores under
par. He
finished the season with a
remarkable 70.20 stroke
average.
Blayne was also a member of
the North team at the
Junior Florida Cup for the
third consecutive year. He
finished his junior career
with a 9-0 record at the
Junior Cup.

Erica
Popson (Girls
16-18) is from Davenport and
is scheduled to graduate in
2009.
She
played in eight FJT events
and had four wins and two
3rd's. From February to
April Erica won four events
in a row. Erica also won the FWSGA Girls Junior
Championship. She finished
the season with 74.10 and
7,117 points.
Erica also qualified for and
made match play at the US
Girls Junior Championship
and was a member of the
North Team at the Junior
Florida Cup.

Matthew
Ceravolo (Boys 13-15) is from
Palm Beach Gardens and will
graduate in 2011.
Matthew competed in four FJT tournaments in
the 13-15 division and won
all four! The highlight of his
season was winning the 54th
Boys Junior Championship by
six strokes. He finished
the season with a 71.41
stroke average and 5,500
points.
Matthew also was the
runner-up in the FSGA Junior
Match Play Championship and
was a member of South Team
at the Junior Florida Cup.

Simin
Feng (Girls 13-15)
is from Orlando and
is scheduled to graduate
in 2013.
Receiving special permission
to play at only 12 years
old, Simin played in eight FJT
tournaments and never
finished worse than 5th
including three wins.
17 of her 18 rounds were
shot in the 70's. She also
played six events in the
16-18 age division and had
four top 5 finishes.
She finished the season
with a 77.31 stroke average
and 5,550 points. She was
also won the AJGA Future
Legends tournament.

will graduate from High School in 2008.
During the 2006-2007 season,
Blayne competed in nine FJT
events with two wins, two
2nds, and three other top
five finishes. Out of 24
rounds Blayne shot 11 under
par rounds. He
finished the season with
4,786 points and a
remarkable 72.09 stroke
average.
Blayne was also a member of
the North team for the
Junior Florida Cup and had a
record of 3-0.

Evan
Jensen (Girls
16-18) is from Belleair and
will be entering her senior
year of high school. Evan
played in eight FJT events
and had two 2nds and four
wins. During a five
tournament stretch she won 4
tournaments and 2nd place
finish. Evan also finished
second, one shot back, in
the FWSGA Girls Junior
Championship. Evan finished
the season with 73.095
stroke average and shot a
record low 68 twice.
Evan also qualified for and
made match play at the US
Girls Junior Championship
and the US Women's Amateur
Championship

Hojin
Kang (Boys 13-15) is from
Longwood and is entering his
junior year of high
school. Hojin only competed
in five FJT tournaments in
the 13-15 division, but won
three titles and
finished top-10 two other
times. The highlight of his
season was winning the 53rd
Boys Junior Championship by
five strokes. Hojin finished
the season with a 73.783
stroke average and 4,120
points. He also earned an
additional 570 points in the
16-18 division.
Hojin also won the AJGA
Corse/Max Philadelphia
Runner Junior
with rounds of
69-71-64--204.

Jaime
Ritter (Girls 13-15)
is from Davie and
is scheduled to graduate
from Archbishop McCarthy
Catholic High School in 2009.
She played in eight FJT
tournaments and never
finished worse than 8th.
Jaime won the last two 13-15
division tournaments of the
season at Shingle Creek and
Gainesville. At Shingle
Creek she shot a final round
69 and came from 13 strokes
behind to capture the title
(a FJT record).
Jaime finished the season
with a 79.22 stroke average
and 4,625 points. She was
also a member of the South
team at the Junior Florida
Cup.

Matt
Cooney
(Boys 16-18) is from Tampa and
will graduate from Gaither
High School in 2007.
During the 2005-2006 season,
Matt competed in nine FJT
events with one win, two
2nds, and two 4ths. He shot
a final round 66 (-6) at
Southwood to win by one
shot. Heading into the Boys
Junior Championship, the
final event to earn points,
Matt trailed Wesley Graham
in the points race. Matt
shot a final round 65 (-7)
to leap ahead of Wesley by
38 points to become the
Season Points Champion. Matt
finished the season with
3,658 points and a
remarkable 72.76 stroke
average.
Matt was also a member of
the North team for the
Junior Florida Cup and had a
record of 2-1.

Evan
Jensen (Girls
16-18) is from Belleair and will be entering her
junior year of high school. Evan played in
seven FJT events and had two
3rds and two wins. She won
the first event of the
season at PGA Golf Club with
rounds of 77-74. The next
five tournaments she played
well by finishing top-10 in
all and then won the 54-hole
event at University of
Florida with rounds of
70-76-75. Evan finished the
season with 3,725 points,
325 ahead of the 2003-2004
Points Champion, Sandra
Changkija. Evan was the
2004-2005 Points Champion in
the 13-15 division. She
finished the season with a
77.31 stroke average.
Evan was also a member of
the North team for the
Junior Florida Cup and had a
record of 2-1.

Michael
Hebert
(Boys 13-15) is from
Palm Bay and is entering his
sophomore year of high
school. Michael competed in
six FJT tournaments
finishing top-10 in five,
including two wins. He won
the event at Eagle Creek
shooting 70-72--142 (-4) and
the event at Riverwood
shooting 74-71--145. Heading
into the Boys Junior
Championship Michael was
neck and neck with Phillip
Choi in the race for the
Points Champion. Michael has
able to hold on stay ahead
of Choi by 35 points to
secure the title of
Points Champion. Michael
finished the season with a
75.22 stroke average.
Michael also won the
Innisbrook Easter Classic
with rounds of
70-73-73--216.

Alexis
Thompson (Girls 13-15)
is from Coral Springs and
was only 10 years old at the
beginning of the season. Due
to her exceptional playing
capability, Alexis was
granted conditional special
status allowing her to
compete on the Florida
Junior Tour. Alexis proved
she was worthy by finishing
2nd in her first event and
then winning her next five
tournaments in the 13-15 age
division. She accumulated
5,700 points, the most ever
by a player in one season,
and ran away with the points
race. Alexis also finished
10th on 16-18 points list.
Alexis finished the season
with an amazing 76.00 stroke
average at only 11 years
old.

2004-2005 Season Points Champions |

Chappell Brown
(Boys 16-18) is from West
Palm Beach and graduated in
the spring of 2005 from Cardinal Newman High School. Chappell
will be a attending the
University of Florida and playing on the school's golf
team.
During the 2004-2005 FJT season Chappell played in
six events and captured three victories, a second, a fourth, and a seventh place
finish. He secured the top spot on the point list after winning the 51st Boys Junior
Championship at Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club with rounds of 63-71-70--204 (6
under par). An even par 70 in the final round was good enough to hold off last
season's Points Champion, Cameron Knight, by two shots. Chappell finished the
season with an impressive 71.49 scoring average and accumulated 4,835 points.
Chappell's other recent accomplishments were
finishing tied for 26th in the State Amateur Championship at Bear Lakes Country
Club and placing second in the State Four-Ball Championship with teammate,
Robbie Wight. He also excelled in school by earning a 4.067 GPA, ranking top 10
in his class. Along with being the FJT points leader, the Florida State Golf
Association named Chappell the Florida Junior Golfer of the Year.

Vicky Hurst (Girls
16-18) is from Melbourne and
entering her sophomore year
at Holy Trinity Episcopal
Academy. Vicky, only 15
years old, earned the
privilege to play up in the
16-18 age division from
winning a FJT event during
the 2003-2004 season. She
played five FJT events this
season, all in the 16-18
division and placed seventh,
sixth, and captured three
victories. Vicky's three
wins had an average margin
of victory of over five
shots per event. Vicky
capped off the season by
winning the State Girls
Junior Championship with a
two under par total for 36
holes. She finished the
season with a 75.50 scoring
average and accumulated a
record 5,070 points.
Vicky's other recent
accomplishments are winning
the AJGA Nike Junior at Fort
Myers, fourth at the Ping
Junior in Palm Beach, and
ninth at the Rolex Girls
Tournament of Champions. She
also qualified for match
play at the US Girls Junior
and US Women's Amateur.
Along with playing golf
Vicky also plays varsity
tennis and is an
accomplished billiards
player.

Christopher Carlin
(Boys 13-15) is from
Pembroke Pines and will be
entering his junior year at
American Heritage High
School. Christopher won his
first two FJT events this
season and placed third in
the last regular event of
the season. Heading into the
51st Boys Junior
Championship, Christopher
was battling Julian Suri for
Season Point Champion. Both
players played great and
Christopher finished fourth
with Julian right there at
fifth. Christopher's fourth
place finished earned
him enough points to become
the Season Points champion by 195
points. He finished the
season with 3,100 points and
had a 71.77 scoring average
in the 13-15 age division.
Christopher also qualified
for the US Junior
Championship in Longmeadow,
Massachusetts. He qualified
for the match play portion
of the Championship with
rounds of 66-78--144.

Evan Jensen (Girls 13-15) is from
Belleair and will be entering her sophomore year of high school. Evan played in
five FJT events and
consistently improved by
finishing fifth, fourth,
third, second, and then
taking first place at the
final event of the regular
season. A ninth place finish
at the State Girls Junior
Championship gave her 3,250
points which were enough to
become the Season Points
Champion in the
Girls 13-15 division. Evan also played in three of the Girls 16-18 events and
finished in the top ten in each of them.Evan's other recent accomplishments are placing
second at
High School Districts, taking first at Regionals, and second at the High School State
Championship. She also finished second at the AJGA Nike All-Stars at Miramar Lakes,
sixth at the AJGA event at Innisbrook, and first at the Back-to-School Tournament.

Cameron Knight (Boys
16-18) is from Dade City and
will be entering his junior
year at Wesley Chapel High
School in the fall. Heading
into the final FJT event of
the season Cameron was third
on the points list and then
fired a 67-73 – 140 to
capture the Marsh Landing
event which vaulted him to
first in the final points
list. He earned the 2,350
points by finishing 1st at
Marsh Landing, T-2nd at
Ritz-Carlton, T-4th at Grand
Cypress, and T-4th at Metrowest. Cameron also
finished the FJT season with
a remarkable 71.0 stroke
average.
Cameron’s other recent
accomplishments are medalist

Hannah Brabb (Girls
16-18) is from Maitland and
will be entering her senior
year at Winter Park High
School. Her 2,117 points
were earned by finishing 1st
at MetroWest, 2nd at Grand
Cypress, and T-3rd a
Ritz-Carlton. Twice this
year Hannah tied the season
low 18 hole score with a 73
at Grand Cypress and at
Metrowest. Hannah finished
the season with an
impressive 78.6 scoring
average.
Along with her success on
the Florida Junior Tour,
Hannah’s other recent
accomplishments are
qualifying for the US Girls
Junior, qualifying for the
Junior World, T-2nd at the
AJGA Dunlop Carolina Junior
Championship, and T-6th at
the AJGA Ping Junior at
Mirasol.

Michael Sedacca (Boys
13-15) is from Orlando and
will be entering his junior
year at Lake Highland Prep.
After just two events
Michael secured
the Season Points
Championship by
finishing 1st at Shingle
Creek and 2nd at
Ritz-Carlton. A week before
the final FJT event at Marsh
Landing Michael turned 16
and continued his impressive
play by finishing 2nd in his
first event in the 16-18 age
division. Michael finished
the season with 1,700 points
in the 13-15 age division
and 700 points in the 16-18
age division earning him 1st
and T-5th in the points
race, respectively.
Michael’s other recent
accomplishments are five top
15’s and two top 10’s in the
2004 FWCT season, two 1st
place finishes and two 2nd
place finishes on the FJGA
2003 season, 11th in the
FCWT Nationals at Doral Golf
Resort & Spa. |

Sandra Changkija
(Girls 13-15) is from
Orlando and will be entering
her sophomore year at
Cypress Creek High School.
An impressive 73-74 – 147,
eight stroke victory, at the
final event of the season at
Marsh Landing earned Sandra
enough points to become the
Season Points Champion in
the 13-15 age division. For
the season Sandra compiled
2,300 points with her 1st at
Marsh Landing, T-2nd at
Grand Cypress, 4th at
Shingle Creek, and 6th at
Ritz-Carlton. Sandra
steadily improved throughout
the season by improving her
tournament totals by an
average of 6 shot per event.
Along with Sandra’s success
on the Florida Junior Tour
her other accomplishments
are being named to the All
Orange County Conference
Team, 1st in the 33rd
Florida Junior Invitational,
T-19th in the FWSGA Junior
Girls Championship, T-6th at the Doral-Publix
Junior Golf Classic, 6th at
the Westfield Jr. PGA
Championship-North,
9th at the Optimist, 2nd at
her High School Districts,
6th at her High School Regionals. |
